If Armenia leaves the Eurasian Economic Union, the cost of importing gas could rise by 69%. That scenario is examined in a report prepared by members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The authors estimate that annual gas import costs would reach $657.5 million under that scenario. This is a conditional forecast, not a report that the cost of supplies has already risen.
