The United States will continue to support defense reforms in Armenia, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Andrew Loomis said during bilateral consultations in Yerevan, according to the Armenian Defense Ministry’s press service.

The bilateral consultations took place on September 18 at the Armenian Defense Ministry’s administrative complex. Participants included representatives of the ministry and the Pentagon, as well as the commander of the Kansas National Guard.

Discussing areas of assistance, Loomis cited advisory support, exchanges of experience and assistance programs in other areas. He said the United States would devote “all its resources” to transforming the Armenian army as part of the reforms.
