A data center in Hrazdan, Armenia, opened the month before publication, Bloomberg reported, citing startup Firebird. The center is expected to reach a capacity of 300 megawatts by the end of 2027 and house more than 70,000 advanced Nvidia AI chips. According to Bloomberg, it could become the region’s largest computing cluster and one of the largest in Europe.

According to Bloomberg, a fifth of the facility’s computing capacity has been reserved for research in Armenia, government ecosystems and Firebird’s ecosystems. The remaining capacity has been allocated to foreign companies, including US-based Perplexity.
