Armenia’s government will allocate nearly 9 billion drams to repair another 176 kilometres of roads. According to Mir 24, most of the planned work will be on roads of interstate importance.

The allocation is equivalent to more than 2 billion rubles. The repairs will cover eight regions of Armenia, as well as Yerevan and Gyumri.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced plans to complete repairs on the Vanadzor–Vahagnadzor and Vahagnadzor–Dzoraget sections, each 11 kilometres long, by the end of the year. The 15.5-kilometre section from Noravan to Arzhis in Syunik Province is also due to be completed by then.

The new programme builds on work already completed. According to the government, around 310 kilometres of roads have been repaired across the country. The authorities plan to bring that figure to 500 kilometres by the end of the year.
