Armenia could be disappointed by US security guarantees, said General of the Army Oleg Salyukov, deputy secretary of Russia’s Security Council. The council reported his remarks on September 24.

Salyukov was commenting on Yerevan’s statements about switching to NATO standards. In his assessment, Armenia will have to overcome differences between NATO and Collective Security Treaty Organization standards, with Armenian taxpayers footing the bill.
